What is Korean Saju (사주)?▼
Saju (사주, 四柱) means "Four Pillars of Destiny" in Korean. It is an ancient East Asian divination system that analyzes your birth year, month, day, and hour using the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and Yin-Yang balance to reveal your innate character and compatibility.
How does StarBias calculate K-Pop compatibility?▼
StarBias uses your Day Stem (일간, 日干) — the most personal of the Four Pillars — to determine your core elemental type. It then compares your element with each K-Pop idol's element using the Five Elements harmony and conflict system (상생·상극) to generate a compatibility score.
Is Saju the same as Chinese astrology or zodiac?▼
Saju shares roots with Chinese cosmology but is a distinct Korean tradition. Unlike the Chinese zodiac (which uses 12 animals per year), Saju analyzes all four time pillars of birth using 10 Heavenly Stems and 12 Earthly Branches.
